We host a FREE LEARN TO SEW community event, monthly if possible, aimed to teach the basics of sewing to men and women who would like to learn how to make a cape.
By the end of the day you will have created a cape with your own hands. Your cape will be sent to a child in hospital to help make them feel a little safer and braver and make them smile!
WE WILL SHOW YOU:
How to use your machine and get much more fun out of your sewing. Overview of your machine, the ins and outs. Care, attention and maintenance. Threading and changing of needle.
WHAT TO BRING:
Sewing machine/s, pins, scissors, 2 metre of fabric (1 metre plain and 1 metre of childs pattern). Fun and laughter.
Pattern and velcro. Light refreshments. Laughter and knowledge.
